Mosaic Returns with a four track EP on Tympanum Records. The “Watts Rhythm” EP is the seminal debut full release, from the duo, Josh Sturges and EAS, and holds the methodology and mission statement of Tympanum in mind. It’s an eclectic, varied journey, with bends and twists, in which Mosaic experiments in many stylizations of Techno. It begins with the title track “Watts Rhythm”, an ambient slow burn that builds into color and chaos, and suddenly fades into static. Next is “Don’t Get It Mistaken”, a rolling, high octane blitzkrieg that crashes through until it’s final seconds. We then settle down with a taste of leftfield, “Voodoo”, with a kick progression that boggles and keeps the flow of the piece constantly evolving and shifting. We reach a climactic finish with the track “Uzumaki”, a high tension, destructive experience, climaxing with a wall of sound synth lead, trumpeted until the EP’s final push. The “Watts Rhythm” EP is a colorful, stimulating canvas, poised to rock the senses, and satisfy the taste buds of any self-respecting dance music enthusiast.
